Roy Artal,

Raised in Southern California, Dr. Artal completed his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, where he was the recipient of the Phi Beta Kappa Undergraduate Achievement Award, and then attended medical school across town at the University of California Los Angeles. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Cedars-Sinai-UCLA Combined Fellowship Program, serving as the Chief Fellow during his senior year in the program. Dr. Artal has been in private practice in Southern California since 2001.

Dr. Artal is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. His medical practice encompasses the entire spectrum of diseases of the lung, respiratory system, and disorders of sleep. He divides his clinical time between his outpatient office practice and the management of hospital patients.

In addition to pulmonary medicine, Dr. Artal maintains a clinical focus in sleep disorders. He is double board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Tower Sleep Medicine in West Los Angeles, an American Academy of Sleep Medicine accredited sleep disorders center.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys his free time with his wife and three sons, and is an avid swimmer, training with UCLA Bruin Masters Swim Team.
