Ryan Kotton,
M.D., FAAPMR.

Dr. Ryan Kotton is originally from South Africa but was raised in Los Angeles. Dr. Ryan Kotton is a board certified physician in Physical Medicine & Rehab (also known as physiatry). Physiatry is a unique specialty that Dr. Kotton explains as a cross between orthopedics, neurology, and physical therapy. Dr. Kotton is a world-renowned expert in brain and spinal cord injury, regenerative medicine, non-operative sports medicine, and neuroplasticity. Dr. Kotton’s clinical practice focuses on wellness, longevity, and functional medicine. Dr. Kotton has created a very unique, membership-based practice where he serves as a chief medical officer for family offices and individuals. Dr. Kotton acts as a team captain responsible for quarterbacking all of a person’s medical care across all specialties ensuring a cohesive medical plan and strategy. As a lifelong athlete competing in team sports, most notably rugby and polo, Dr. Kotton has cultivated an appreciation for a team approach that he implements in his practice. While most concierge doctors have 2,000-5,000 patients, Dr. Kotton has fewer than 50 patients, which enables him to provide truly individualized care, access and results.

Dr. Kotton attended medical school in Tel Aviv, Israel and completed his residencies in Philadelphia before moving back to Los Angeles. Dr. Kotton remains an Assistant Professor at both Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Kotton’s practice is technically based in Beverly Hills, CA but he has patients all over the world including in Aspen, the Silicon Valley, and in the Middle East. In his free time, Dr. Kotton enjoys being a member of the advisory board for the non-profit Angel City Sports facilitating access to sports for people of all abilities. Post-COVID, Dr. Kotton is looking forward to traveling again where he leads multi-disciplinary rehabilitation clinics around the world for children with cerebral palsy and neurodevelopment disabilities.
